Barclays Corporate Bank- Coaching to Manage Performance, Distance Learning and one day of intensive practical.
Gartmore- Delivered Team building events, (once totally rewritten on first evening due to the extremely disfunctional nature of that team)
HCA- Devised, piloted and deliver productivity improvement workshops for the medical and management staff of this private medical provider
Hyder Consulting- Developed a series of practical workshops to complement global e-learning for this engineering consultancy. Delivered the UK events and the Train the Trainer for the in house trainers from around the world. Subject areas are Recruitment and Selection, Performance Management and Key Account Action Planning
The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) - Designed, piloted, and ran a series of management development, blended learning events aimed at managers throughout the organisation. Particular areas were relationship management with suppliers and performance management in house.
Jaguar- Completely rewrote and launched a previously discredited training course in customer focus. Successfully delivered the course for 18 months
Ford- Delivered a course developed by Peter Honey for first line supervisors. Also delivered a course for staff in managing their own careers. Devised, developed and authored Distance Learning sales and customer focus programme for Ford dealership staff to be translated and used throughout Europe.
The Benefits Agency- Delivered programmes on Equal Opportunities, the Managers Role in Appraising and Developing Staff and Handling Aggression.
Focus/Central London TEC- Devised and delivered a training event for all staff to improve focus on the customer…the first issue was to assess who the customer was, that was half the challenge!
South West Water- Developed and ran workshops in Problem Solving
LIFFE- Designed and delivered courses in Coaching to Manage Performance, Communications Skills and Team Working. All two day workshops with a day of theory and discussion, some "homework" and a day of practical interaction.
Lucas Aerospace- Introducing TQM to Lucas, delivery of the introductory events to directors, line managers and union representatives. Training of the TQ facilitators and counsellors from the initial introduction, the facilitation skills course and train the trainer. I was then selected to coach the facilitators on their initial courses.
AMSPAR- (This is a professional body for medical managers). The programme was a series of courses run at the University of Surrey to cover a number of subjects. AMSPAR had written brief objectives from which I created full training objectives, devised the content, piloted the courses and developed it from there. I was responsible for all aspects of the course except medical jurisprudence, finance and data protection. Our delegates had a far higher pass rate than delegates from other centres.
BP- Devised and delivered very specific team working courses for virtual teams scattered across the globe
Sindalls, OCS, Barnes and Elliott, Davies Langdon and Everest- These are all professional services companies in the engineering and construction sector. I was involved in the delivery of two day intensive communication skills courses for the managers and directors. The primary aim of the events was to increase the success rate of the sales interviews thus reducing the very significant cost of entering into the tendering process. All companies reported significant improvement in their success rates.
Wyeth, Smith & Nephew- As a result of the failure of another provider went in and assessed needs, created objectives and devised/delivered a whole programme of Leadership courses for manufacturing staff.
LASMO- Carried out full annual TNA for all staff of the company, drawn from appraisal process and liaison with line managers. Devised 2 X induction programmes, one for oil industry people new to the business, one for oil “virgins”.
Brockhouse Forgings- Delivered series of generic Leadership, Teambuilding and Continuous Improvement Programmes
Axon Solutions- Developed a mentoring process for this IT consultancy, got buy-in from managers and staff and provided training events for both groups. Continued to provide this on a monthly basis for new starters and promoted mentors until the company got their own HR function.
International Distillers and Victuallers- Co authored a three day programme to introduce a formal Project Management Method into the IT and Facilities division. The method was a cut down version of PRINCE 2 and the delivery was aimed at introducing the management of people within the project as well as the discipline of creating a project plan.
